John and Hugh have put so much effort into this book. It is the bible for running your Coffee bar and business. It is so well written and and is by far the best book on the market. This book is a fantastic follow on from the “Wake up and Smell the Profit”. You must buy these books and listen to and follow the great advice. And it comes with 2 hours of video from the internet. Where else do you get so much help and inspiration for so little cost.

Doesn’t everyone want to one day leave the “rat race” and be able to open up a business like a coffee shop? I thought I had an idea how to start off if I wanted to start a coffee shop but I had no idea how in-depth you need to be to get into the business until I got this book.

The Coffee Boys’ guide really preps you and makes you think of building a strategy for success before you even think of getting equipment or planning out a spot. Are you primarily a coffee-house, coffee-bar, or stand? What are the best place to “break ground” for each? When serving food, are you an expert at every item on the menu (you need to be)? Ex: sandwich. What kind of lettuce are you using and what is the tacticle feel of the crunch? Does it match with the meat? The bread type? Freshness? Sourcing all the items? Etc. etc.

    Highly recommended.

Recommended for those opening a food shop, not necessarily a coffee shop. Lots of info on things you don’t think about before opening.
