So here’s the thing, these pods are cheaper than the original Nespresso / Starbucks equivalent. If price is your only criteria, these pods will do.
Pros: – Cheap – Caramel flavour and smell not bad – Compatible with Nespresso machines, just drop in the slot and operate the machine as usual, so easy transition
Cons: – Weak coffee flavour (claims to be a 7, but tastes more like a 4 by Nespresso standards) – Not much of a caffeine boost, so if strong coffee for the caffeine is what you like, you’re gonna be disappointed – Tastes like inferior coffee beans, with a grind and roast that just isn’t right for an espresso pull
Basically the price reflects the quality. According to me it’s ok, not bad, but just not worth the price decrease. I’d rather pay the premium and get the original Nespresso and Starbucks pods and get my money’s worth in terms of the quality of the coffee AND the flavour rather than buy something cheaper and get cheaper quality. Like I said, the coffee is rated at a 7, but it tastes more like what Nespresso 4 would taste like. Quite weak, no caffeine boost or effects at all, wrong grind and roast for what should make a good espresso.
Once again, not saying this was bad, just very underwhelming and average.
