I have had all kinds of travel mugs, thermos, cups, etc. I like to take coffee with me everywhere I go. The standard thermos is hard to drink out of. If you fill this with hot water first, then dump and fill it with your coffee, it will literally keep your coffee piping hot for hours. I even checked my coffee 24 hrs and it was still quite warm. This really works so if you want HOT coffee, buy it.

I used mine on the boat on a cold day, and it kept hot chocolate hot (and I mean hot) for the 6 hours we were out there. It stayed cool to the touch on the outside. I did let hot water sit in there for about 30 minutes before I added the hot chocolate. Very pleased!
