Tried these beans after getting a likeliness for strong coffee brews in vietnam. Wanted to try for the same.

3 observations :

– not comparable to really high quality vietnamese robusta beans if you wanna make 100% robusta brews like bac xiu etc.

– these have a malt taste which is really nice and makes it almost the best robusta beans available in india

– brewing unblended this would be overly strong and not good for coffee blends and experimentation. But this is exceptional for creating blends, if you want your coffee shots to have that extra cafe like kick. I tried blending a 30% really bright lightly roasted arabica + 30%medium roast arabica + 40% of this robusta. Gives exactly the taste you get in cafes.

My verdict : not for solo brewing at all but exceptional for blends. The quality of this coffee is better than you’ll get online or offline for robusta beans.

Not tried south indian style filter coffee brewing, as i like to experiment with a lot of different beans for artisanal brewing.
