Prior to this, I used to buy one-cup filters, which I liked, BUT there were only a few brands/strengths on the market, so you couldn’t experiment much with the coffee. AND only 10 filters per box, so at just a couple of cups a day, I was getting through three boxes a fortnight – forever having to replace the damn things. And there was a lot of non recyclable waste – the use-once filters are all plastic.
Since getting it, this has never been out of use. It’s rare that I buy anything, and honestly wonder how I managed without it. It’s always either got coffee brewing, or is in the washing-up, awaiting cleaning for the next use. True, washing up IS more tedious than just throwing it away and taking a fresh one. But this is compensated for by the fact I’ve got access to a much wider choice of coffees. At the moment, I’m quite hooked on Tesco’s Finest Java Sumatra, but if I start to get bored with that, I can always try something different. I’m not sure it has saved me money on coffee – which was part of the rationale for buying it – purely because I now drink more. But I’ve never regretted having it.

Not practical , by the time coffee drips through its not hot .. guess this product is only for Cold Coffee

I love this! It works so well. I make a variety of coffee in this and it taste great! Wish it had a stronger base, but I just need to be careful with it. Also, be careful if you wash and dry and just happen to dry something else leaning on it, the mesh seems to bend very easily.

Great quality product which makes great coffee so long as you have the patience to follow a pour over method patiently. The mesh is impossibly fine keeping out nigh on all residue whilst letting the oils from the coffee through and the glass is clearly of a high standard. Overall a well thought out and nicely designed product if you are happy to put a bit more effort into making your coffee. The 300ml size makes one ‘normal’ mug size or serves two coffee cup sized servings. Bear in mind this product ships from Japan so the delivery estimate is both long and vague, however mine arrived before the earliest date.

Although the price is a little high, I still love this item. First of all, it’s made in Japan, which means the quality of the glass is pretty awesome. Then it’s very easy to clean. I personally tried 3 times with different coffee beans, and it worked all well! Of course, making good coffee requires good coffee grinder. If you do have a good coffee grinder, get this item and enjoy the easiest way to make a cup of nice coffee daily at home!
