I’ve always consumed dark roast espresso and coffee, but this gave me stomach pain. Very sad, have switched to medium and mild. Honest I’ve been a Nespresso user for many years, but… Now I wonder if there’s something wrong with Nespresso from South Africa?

A traditional 1st generation Nespresso maker came with the apartment we sublet. Having never used this type of device, my first mistake was buying K-cups, which do not fit. Then I purchased the wrong type of Nespresso capsule. On my third try, I learned that aside from the correct type, not all capsules were created equal, cup-size wise. These were the only ones for the “Lungo” size. But Nespresso’s definition of a cup is 3.7 ounces. An American “cup” is 8 ounces. This was a disappointment. That aside, the coffee itself is good and flavorful. I’ve taken to brewing two capsules at a time. More expensive, but the apartment sublet ends in a couple of months.
