I’ve tried Blue Tokai, Bru filter coffee, Maverick and Farmer and a few other locally produced coffee brands. Finally settled down with Slay X. All of the other brands I tried before Slay, were good (and flavourful) but they were all Arabica coffee which didn’t really provide that caffeine kick which I was looking for. Slay, being a Robusta coffee, fulfilled that caffeine shaped hole in my heart, perfectly well. It’s flavourful (3 spoonfuls in a traditional South Indian filter, decoct for 10-12 minutes; have with milk and one teaspoon of sugar) and has a really good kick to it (although, fair warning, people who’re used to Arabica coffees might find it a little harsh and bitter. My advice, give it some time, it’ll grow on you). If it’s a strong coffee to jump start your day, that you’re looking for, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this coffee will serve that purpose full well.
