Decaf coffee is difficult to roast than regular counterpart but this dark roast is way too dark, to the point that it feels and tastes like it’s burnt. I ground the coffee using my manual grinder and it felt like I’m grinding burnt wood. My other dark roasts give some resistance while grinding this one had none. The ground coffee felt like ash to touch. The burnt up flavours make it into the brew as well, compared to my regular coffee this was a lot less acidic, it didn’t taste bitter as much as straight up burnt. It did leave a sweet aftertaste. Won’t be buying this product again.

I got the product twice and got a custom ratio of chicory and coffee powder. Thanks for that. The taste is dark indeed for decaffeinated, powder for filter or machine, this is the best blend I could lay my hands on. Agree that some may find it dark and burnt. But those who prefer dark, and flavourful decaffeinated would like it.
