Don’t trust on this product guys, do not waste ur money on such useless product. It’s carafe as said to be used on stove but just after putting it on flame it got broke.

Been using this for a month and a half or so now, primarily to boil milk everyday. I use it mostly in the microwave, but have used it on the stovetop a couple of times. What I love is that it doesn’t burn the milk if I repeatedly reheat milk. Steel vessels invariably burn the milk a little making it difficult to clean.
The good news is – it hasn’t cracked or broken. But note that I do use it with some precautions:
1) Don’t put fridge-cold milk in it and keep it on a high flame. If possible, after you take cold milk from the fridge, let it stay out for 30 minutes till it is not as cold. OR heat it on a low flame or low power for a minute or two.
2) Don’t take it from a hot environment (stove top or microwave) right after the milk/water boils and put it on a cold granite counter or cold steel plate. Let it stay on the stove or in the microwave for 5-10 minutes – pick it up and pour out the milk or tea into a cup and put it back in the same place.
3) When it’s on the stove make sure the handle is not directly exposed to the flame – rotate the handle away from adjacent flames.
I wash it in the dishwasher, comes out sparking clean with no traces of milk. So I am really loving he versatility of this product!
Note that after about 20days of use, the plastic handle snapped. I contacted Amazon customer service. They asked me to email the seller cloudtail, who put me in touch with borosil’s customer service. And within a week or 10 days – I received a replacement handle. Good service. Efficient. I easily replaced the broken handle on the glass body and my carafe was as good as new! Now I’m again using it as before – microwave, stove, and dishwasher. All is well.

Weird burning smell came out from it after been used in Microwave few times but it suppose to be microwave proof and strainer’s hole are too big that they can’t even strain tea leaves. I am demanding an refund for this item.

We have to use this on slow flame, so the process takes more time, but the one who loves and really enjoys the making process would love it. a regular mug-size cup tea-making process takes 12 to 15 mins in slow flame. So it’s up to you how much patience level you have in the morning.

can make tea or noodles in it. no problem. It is good. But i actually bought to boil and re-heat milk for tea. That doesn’t work too well. The first time around the milk boils well, but as you go on re-heating it in the same jug, the milk starts burning and sticking on the sides of the jug. The burnt milk is very difficult to clean unless of course, you soak it in warm soapy water for a long time and then try to scrub it away. too much effort…
Also, the jug does not fit into the bottle shelves of the fridge door. I needed something tall and narrow to fit into the fridge door and I wanted to be able to heat and re-heat milk without bothering about cleaning the vessel often. Both objectives not met.
