The filter spring is so light that it easily collapses inwards, allowing the coffee to bypass the mesh, while pushing it down. This makes the filtration totally ineffective.

This is for sure the best French Press we ever had. Before we had only those made from glass, and all broke after shorter or longer use. This one cannot break. And it looks some logarithms better than all those glass cans we had. Fits well in the kitchen to other pots and appliances as well as it looks great on the table. Totally happy that we found it here.

This French press has a nice built and the stainless steel seems to be of good quality. However, the filter is not up to the mark. There is only one mesh and it doesn’t filter the coffee very well. So you end up with grainy and muddy coffee.

I have broken so many glass french presses that I was looking for something more long-lasting. Everything I found looked way too pricey and then I spotted this on Amazon. The fit could have been tighter but it works just fine. There is no residue in the decoction. I also like the fact that it works equally well for one cup and several cups. That it looks great is another plus.

This french press is a dual purpose devise. It can be used to froth milk for cappuccino, espresso, mocha, Americano, Latte, Macchiato, Flat White and others. It can also be used to make filter coffee and hence the name french press. The steel chamber of this french press provides good insulation. The fit however, of cylinder and plunger, is not a tight one, which is not ideal for coffee press. This fit comes more handy for frothing milk.
