Overall I am satisfied with it. I travel internationally routinely for business and needed a small 220v coffee maker to take with me.
Pros: Compact, solidly built, comes with reusable filter. Brew very hot coffee. Good size for the frequent traveler.
Cons: Brewing amount is small. The tiny cup you see in the picture comes with it and that is the size cup the water reservoir matches. In order to brew a full mug I have to fill the water reservoir several times while it is brewing. The coffee filter does hold enough coffee to brew a large mug so just refilling the water is an inconvenience but not a big problem. That is one of the tradeoffs of making this unit so compact.
Notes, Mine came with a British style 220v plug that is not common in other parts of the world so you will need an adapter, or replace the plug, to use it in most other countries.

The machine is TOO small. Coffee leaks out since the filter is tiny. The little quantity of coffee prepared in this does not taste good due to bad extraction of flavor. The length of the wire is also small. The machine has an on/off button but it is too flimsy and you wouldn’t know if it worked because there is no on/off indicator. You have to wait for the sound of boiling water to know if the machine started. I returned it finally.

Had to update this review. Used this product for 6 months and it stopped working. It had to do with a problem with the water stopper. Tried to reach the black and decker customer care. Had the worst experience ever. They made my old parents wait for days together saying they will come one day, then the other, then another. Made at least 25 calls to the local service guy in Bangalore (apparently there is only one guy), Head office in Delhi and their stupid customer care executives. It has been 1 month since I contacted them and nothing yet.
didn’t expect this from B&D at all. Maybe it’s a one off case but this has to be some sort of prolonged bad luck. I used to swear by this brand, not anymore.

This is perfect for a quick one cup of coffee. The only suggestion I have is that manufacturers could provide an extra filter cup as the mesh is quite delicate and if it tears while washing, there’s no replacement. Overall, a good buy.

The product is OSUM! Though, I have couple of questions to the guys who have bought this espresso maker. Does the power button on the back of the machine works? When I press the power button on the machine, it doesn’t seem to move in/out, its like a dummy. The machine works the moment I plug it and switch on the electric switch (main power). Does your machine also function the same way. Second, the dispense of coffee is not in one go and takes long around 40 -50 seconds to fill one full cup (white mug) is this the case so with every one? Appreciate if any of you could reply me, this will help me decide whether a replacement is required for this product. Thank you.

I have been using these for at least 10 years as a small travel accessory for when I travel. This is very good and is a good alternative for your regular coffee machine when traveling. Do not expect this to be a replacement for your regular coffee machine as this is considerably small in size and the amount of coffee this can dispense is one half of a regular cup. The coffee filters are washable so you needn’t replace them each time.
