The box was damaged from multiple sides and no outer protective covering was used for the product box. The box wasn’t sealed from anywhere and even the closing mechanism of the box is damaged and half torn. The product wasn’t sealed in any way and although it looks new there is no way to tell if it has been used before but it definitely seems like it has been removed out of the box multiple times before. It may have been a returned/defective product as well. I can’t tell for sure since I can’t use it as it was supposed to be a gift.

We upgraded from the previous Morphy Richards Europa coffee maker that we used for over ten years. This machine delivers the real taste, feel and aroma of espresso. However it is early days and the beans we used were IKEA dark roast Hela Bonor 100% Arabica made in Sweden, and that could have influenced the coffee flavour. Don’t believe the YouTube reviews of coffee makers that are obviously commercially biased. Having lived in 5 countries and travelled in a dozen, we appreciate good coffee and especially espresso. For those who know good coffee from the trash we get in even expensive local joints, this machine is a worthwhile purchase. I can’t comment on durability because it is new, but the older machine from the same group still works albeit at lower bar pressure and not espresso quality.

First and foremost, the design is sleek and modern, adding a touch of elegance to my kitchen countertop. Its compact size allows it to fit perfectly even in small spaces. The user-friendly control panel is intuitive, making it effortless to operate, even for those who are new to espresso machines. The espresso produced by the Impresso is nothing short of extraordinary. With its 20-bar pump pressure, each shot is brewed to perfection, boasting a rich and velvety crema. The coffee’s aroma fills the room, inviting me to indulge in each cup. The integrated milk frother is a game-changer. I can now create cafe-quality lattes and cappuccinos from the comfort of my home. The frother delivers creamy and frothy milk, making each cup a delightful treat. It’s also easy to clean, which is a huge plus for me.

I have a great drip coffee machine (brought from Amazon) which made me think that I am finally a coffee connoisseur. This espresso machine from Morphy Richards raised the bar… homemade high pressure espresso with good ground coffee really makes your day. This machine allows simultaneous brewing of two cups which is great for the coffee loving couple. The high pressure milk frother is the ‘cream-on-top’ (literally) of this product.
Tip: Always use the right grind size when grinding your beans.

Morphy Richards Impresso Espresso coffee machine ticks all the boxes:
– Up to 20 bar pressure machine
– Integrated frothing with adjustable steam
– 2 portafilter baskets
– Automatic shutoff for 1-cup/2-cup espresso
– Easy-to-clear drain
– Removable water tank
But it has one fatal flaw: It’s all plastic! Don’t be fooled by the description “Black and Steel” – it seems Morphy Richards knows steel only as a color, not as a material! The buttons, front panel, Drip tray shelf, porta filter, coffee basket, and the top heat sink are all plastic.
I have nothing against plastic, but the machine is not well put together and lacks tactile quality. It feels like an exercise in cost reduction. Coffee-making is an experience I cherish, and the quality of the water tank lid, sound of the machine heating up, feel of the buttons, pressure of the tamp, solidity of the handle, and weight of the portafilter all matter. These aspects are as important as the crema, pressure brewing, brewing time, etc. Unfortunately, this coffee maker falls short in delivering on that sensory experience. It ticks the necessary boxes but fails to tickle the senses.
If you enjoy making coffee as much as drinking it, this machine is probably not for you. Instead, you might as well let someone else make your coffee, save your money, and savor the delightful experience of visiting your local coffee shop – a plastic-free alternative that will surely stimulate all your senses!

As a coffee lover I was very skeptical on choosing the right machine for myself as I’m very particular about the taste of my coffee but this machine completely changed my opinion. I have been using this machine for almost a month now and literally it brews the best coffee for me exactly as per my taste.
It offers a wide range of brewing options, including espresso, specialty drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. It comes with a creamy, frothy milk for lattes and cappuccinos with the built-in milk frother, giving you the café-quality experience at home. Also, its space-saving design is ideal for small kitchens.

I purchased the 2in1 machine. I like the idea and design, would really love to keep it. But had to return it. Unfortunately, the item arrived broken – screen doesn’t work, and the water comes from the steam pipe, instead of the expresso maker (don’t know how it’s called correctly). It’s made of cheap plastic, and the tops of the water containers curve because of the heat. Overall, I would keep it if it was not broken.
