Tabber –
As a collection, the poems neglect to make coffee a central theme. Yes, a coffee mug might be mentioned here or there…but the inclusion seems arbitrary at best. This reader was hoping for a rainy day read that centered around java. This reader was disappointed.
James M. Robinson –
A great collection of contemporary poets from all across the US and several different countries, all with fascinating poems somehow related to coffee, sometimes in very unexpected and always original ways—coffee houses, shops, elegies, odes, relationships, and solitude shared with only coffee. Lorraine Healey has done a most enjoyable anthology on this topic so precious and intimate to so many people.
