Can I give it 10/5 stars? I bought the hardcopy (as it is necessary that a book this well done be bought in hardcopy), and I cannot get over how beautifully it’s been made. Exactly what I was looking for to learn about great art, their significance and a bit about their creators. This is chronologically organised and informative. Would make an absolutely wonderful gift! I bought it for myself to appreciate and learn in more depth about great paintings.

I am using this book with my kiddos for our art history homeschool lessons. I love the format. Each painting is featured with a bit of background information about the painting and the artist. Then the book offers an upclose look at various features of the painting. My kids love looking at the paintings, and I love that the format makes teaching so much easier for me! No more digging around for information about the art. Everything that I need to get started is right there!

Unfortunately I have to return the book because the corner got bashed in transit. It was in a sturdy envelope, but being an art book it is heavy and a corner got knocked (and creased) so the book isn’t good enough to give as a present, as I had intended. Such a shame Amazon doesn’t treat art books more carefully. The book itself is great content-wise.
