Overall this is a very good machine. I have found that the milk frother seems to stop frothing the milk after a few months. I purchase the item in November and had to buy the milk frother accessory in March and it has just stopped working again now – 24/06. You can buy these from the Philips website but it is £14.49 each time. Some people may not be bothered about having frothy milk but there is not point in having the machine without this working. Its a shame as I do like the machine otherwise.

Had this machine a year now and while it still churning out decent coffee – i now just dread the regular cleaning job that i have to undertake every 3-4 weeks. Ground and damp used coffee does a great job of getting in every nook and cranny of this machine around the brew group. This often leaves mouldy damp ground coffee in areas that are really hard to reach and clean. I wouldn’t buy this machine again for this reason.

Had for around a month, still getting used to it, but easy to set up.
Milk warms up and froths easily good for Americano, expresso and lungo, not perfected milky versions just yet! Easy to clean hopefully remains reliable!
Fairly quiet considering happy for price

Had a Krups EA 8000 series for 15 years with some minor repairs and a few parts replaced, it finally gave up the ghost. My natural instinct was to go for the same model but the latest version, after 2 weeks of the new machine, the steam nozzle blowing off every time, showering me, the floor and work surface in milk, I sent it back. Decided to replace it with a fully automatic Delonghi but after 20 or 30 failed attempts to get any milk out of the attached milk carafe, and having a brain burn out with the complicated controls, that too went back. Third time lucky ? I ordered this Philips 3200 and what a difference, it worked straight out of the box, simple controls great milk foam and wonderful coffee. It’s taken a few attempts to get the right balance between volumes of milk and coffee, the temperature of the coffee and the grind level but those changes are easy to make. After 4 days of use we are enjoying great cappuccino and latte coffees with thick soya milk foam and loving this Philips 3200 coffee machine, thoroughly recommend it

Loving it!
It came with a cracked bezel but I saved money due to that as it was a returned item, so not complaining.
High price at retail and a harder decision to buy but with over £100 off as a return its value is much better.
The machine itself does great coffee, many settings to get out to how you like it.
Much cleaner and simpler to use them my previous espresso works porta filter machine (which I though was great and is for the price), but of course this machine is a lot more money.
If you’re looking for a step up from the lower end entry point in coffee machine this is a good choice.
I think the water/ Steam from it is hot enough, I know some questioned how hot the milk might be but I’d say it is good and hot. My wife is fussy and loves a very hot latte. This heats the milk well, though I have to run the stream through a 12oz jug of milk a little longer than the 90 second time limit before the auto off on the steamer. This is no issue though just start the sequence again and go till it’s hot.
For a single latte the set timer of the steamer is plenty for good host milk.
When using just hot water from the machine it is about 85c when in the cup. It is hotter as it comes out but this is the temp when the cup is filled with just hot water for a tea say.
I have a one cup hot water kettle and this is designed and started to reach 100c when dispensing 1 cup of water and the temp of a cup from that is only a couple of degrees higher than this. And this is a dedicated single cup kettle designed to boil at 100 so the Phillips machine is not far off that.
Happy with this and very glad I made the jump up the coffee machine later. So much easier than the entry level machines. You get something for your money as well as more tweaking if the coffee settings in a simple way for non-cofficionados.
